I have spent nearly my whole life within the mountains of Western North Carolina, yet so many southern traits skipped me. I can't handle sweetened iced tea, pastel Simply Southern shirts look kinda wrong on me, and my accent is some weird mixture from my New Yorker mom and Mexican dad. I think the parts of me that lack southern charm make me love it in those around me even more.

Maggie met up with me to capture her senior portraits and absolutely glowed with a kind heart and sweet southern qualities. She told me about her hobbies and smiled the whole way through. I learned that Maggie can make anyone laugh just by being around her- she gives off such a contagious level of positivity and love. Even as my horse came up and curiously poked around as I photographed Maggie, her gentle behavior had him sold on her kindness, too!

Maggie was so much fun to photograph, and when her boyfriend, Will, joined us, that fun only continued to grow.

I love people who inspire me to love life even more, and Maggie has done just that.

I wish you abundant amounts of happiness, Maggie!

I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. If you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it full speed. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it, and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good.
